Chichino

The Chichino project began as a funk band based in Leeds with influences from such greats as Prince, Jamiroquai, The Brand New Heavies, David Bowie and Stevie Wonder. Since releasing their first single in 2007 (which made 41 in the Indie charts), the sound has been developed with more of a main stream dance feel helping Chichino gain popularity in clubs across the UK.

The second single ’It could happen to you’ was released to club DJ’s across the UK in August 2007 and made it to number 7 in the Music Week commercial club charts (voted for by the DJ’s themselves).

Further development was needed in 2008 until finally the latest release ‘Everybodys doing it’ was offered to club DJ’s around the UK in July 2009 including remixes by Buzz Junkie and Soul Seekerz. This track with its laid back summer vibe, cheeky lyrics and a slight RnB feel has received high praise from many top DJ’s making the Chichino sound a firm club favourite. This single also reached number 7 in the Music Week chart.
